What is the 1-Credit Limiting Feature? This feature gives you the ability to limit the number of available 1-Credit songs. Today, your “Favorites” list has a maximum of 2,000 songs. The new feature (called “1-Credit Limiting”) allows you to limit the number of Favorites to only the most popular songs (as described below).

How is the list of 1-Credit Songs determined? First, songs that were added to your Favorites in the last 45 days will be treated as the most popular on that jukebox, and will be 1-Credit.  Next, the songs in your Favorites with the most plays in the last 45 days will be 1-Credit.  For example, if your limit on a jukebox is set to 300 and you added 20 new songs this month, those 20 songs plus the top 280 from your Favorites list will be 1-Credit. If you have added more than 300 songs in the last 45 days, only the top 300 will be 1-Credit, based on location popularity first, then network popularity if there are no plays yet.

Does modifying this setting delete songs from my Favorites list? 1-Credit Limiting DOES NOT delete or remove any songs from the Favorites in Tempo, it simply limits the songs offered as 1-Credit to the number selected (for example, 300).  All remaining songs will be searchable on the jukebox and the mobile app as 2-Credit songs, but will no longer appear in the Favorites playlist / tile on the jukebox. Your original list of (up to) 2,000 songs remains accessible and manageable on Tempo.

What happens to newly added songs after 45 days?  If a newly added song does not meet the popularity threshold after 45 days, it will stay in the Favorites playlist on Tempo but becomes a 2-Credit song and is removed from the Favorites playlist/tile on the juke and mobile.

When does the list of 1-Credit Songs recalculate/update?

  • After every successful call-in/reboot
  • When you add or remove a song from the Favorites list
  • When you perform a Morph
  • When the 1-Credit max song setting is modified

What happens if I morph a new location to a location that has a 1-Credit Limit set? Morphs are not affected by the 1-Credit Limit.  If you have 2,000 songs in your Favorites list at Venue A, but are limited to 300 1-Credit songs, morphing Venue A's Favorites toVenue B willstill  transfer all 2,000 songs. Popularity and settings are not part of the morph process.

What will the 1-Credit Limit be on a newly installed jukebox? We  expect changes to jukebox software defaults to match the recent fleet change to a 300 song limit by the end of Q2.

Will the most popular 2-Credit songs (aka “Top Plays”) automatically become 1-Credit if they are the most popular songs played for the last 45 days?  No. The only songs considered for 1-Credit pricing would be those songs managed by you, and included in your Favorites list of (up to) 2,000 songs. If you wish to include 2-Credit songs for consideration, you would need to first manually “move them” from 2-Credit to your Favorites in Tempo by using the Music > Favorites > Search by Top Plays section.

How do I modify the number of 1-Credit songs? On Gen3+, the setting can be changed right on the jukebox operator menu or in Tempo.  On OS2, the setting can be changed on Tempo only. This setting is found under Music > Settings > General > Maximum 1-Credit Songs:
