Be proactive and get ahead of your route’s service calls. Tempo’s alert page can help you plan out which locations may need to be serviced. Jukeboxes will send alerts to us and will be reflected on the alert page. To access the Alert page after logging into Tempo, click on the “Alerts” picture on the Home page or by clicking on Route -> Alerts on the sidebar. Below are more in-depth descriptions of the reportable errors and ways to resolve them.
Bill Accepter
Percentage of bills rejected is too high
- The amount of bills that have been rejected is above the threshold. Possibly a “dirty” bill was attempting to be used in a short time frame. Cleaning the bill accepter sensor may resolve this.
Bill Acceptor is having a sensor problem
- The sensor has issues reading bills that are being inserted. If cleaning the sensor assembler does not resolve this issue, the accepter may need to be replaced.
Bill Acceptor is jammed
- The accepter is having issues accepting bills and stacking them properly. Usually,a bill is stuck in the accepter and needs to be removed. If removing the jam does not resolve this issue, the accepter may need to be replaced.
Bill Acceptor cashbox was removed
- This indicates that the stacker for the accepter has been removed. If this was not part of a scheduled collection or service call, unauthorized access to the inside of the jukebox has possibly occurred and needs to be investigated.
Bill Acceptor is reporting incorrect revenue
- The accepter has detected an erroneous bill denomination or there are communication issues between the accepter and the rest of the system. If cleaning the accepter and/or reseating the accepter’s harness does not resolve, it may need replacing.
Hard Disk (Includes Solid State Drives)
Hard Disk usage is too high
- This can appear when there is more drive activity than normal. It can be caused by a software/catalog upgrade. If a reboot does not clear the error, the drive may need replacing.
Hard Disk integrity has failed
- The drive has failed one or more of its internal SMART tests. The drive will need to be replaced as soon as possible.
Temperature
System temperature is too high
- The jukebox may be overheating. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the jukebox. If there is, check the I/O board as that is where the sensor is located.
CPU temperature is too high
- The CPU in the computer is overheating. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the jukebox’s computer. The vents should not be obstructed. If there is adequate ventilation, the computer may need replacing.
Miscellaneous
Operator user interface has been accessed
- This indicates that the Operator/Setup menu has been accessed. If this was not part of a scheduled collection or service call, unauthorized access to the inside of the jukebox has possibly occurred and needs to be investigated.
An unscheduled reboot has occurred
- An abnormal reboot has occurred that was not part of our normally scheduled reboots (Monday and Wednesday mornings). This could be the location losing power or them power cycling the jukebox themselves. If this persists, the location should be contacted to see what is going on.
