Music can make or break a location's vibe. As such, TouchTunes offers robust filtering options which allow you to block a song, album, artist, genre or style of music, and even create filter schedules for different times of day / days of the week! A list of filter categories can be found here: FILTERS
To start, go to the Music section, select your jukebox, then click the Filters tab. From here, you can (a) edit your default filter set if you want the same filter to be applied all day, every day, or (b) add a new filter set that can be scheduled.
A filter set contains various "rules" telling the jukebox what to do. You can block 1 or more songs, artists, albums, genres or styles, and you can also allow songs, artist or albums to come through a blocked genre or style.
Example: "We don't want to allow any Rap except for Eminem and 99 Problems by Jay-Z". In this situation, we would create 1 rule to block the Rap genre, 1 rule to allow artist: Eminem and 1 rule to allow Song: 99 Problems. These rules make up a Filter Set:
You can also apply different options to your filter set by clicking the Options tab. Here, you can Allow Explicit Content, Allow Edited Content and Apply Filter Set to Favorites.
In order to schedule, you must have at least 2 Filter Sets created. If you just have a default filter, the schedule tab will be unavailable.
Once you have at least two filters created, you can then schedule them. Simply click the Schedule tab, enable the feature, pick your times/dates, if/how often you want this to repeat, and you are done! Note, that you cannot start a schedule in the past, meaning if it is 4pm on June 1st, you can not make a schedule start at 10am on June 1st; you would need to set it to start the next day.
For further assistance, check out the training video "How do I create a Filter Schedule?" in our FAQ section!
TIP: Once you have blocked a genre or style, you do not have to block any artists within that genre or style. Also, once you have blocked an artist, you do not have to block an individual song by that artist! This is important to know, as you are limited on the # of filters allowed in a filter set.
