Tempo supports a variety of roles with limited access to accommodate every level of employee or location staff. To set-up a new user, go to Accounts > Users and hit the +Add button. You will be presented with the Add New User box:
Choose a username and enter the user’s email, then you will have to establish a
s
ecurity phrase. This step is an added level of security for your account. You will choose your own security phrase; some examples include “TT123”, “rockANDroll”, “joesbarBOBBY”, etc. Whatever you type in this field, you must relay (preferably verbally) to the new user to complete their activation.
Once you click OK, you will come to a screen where you will select the Role type and which jukes to give access to. Here is a breakdown of the different roles:
Location Staff: Intended for the staff of particular venues to allow them to manage the music content of the venue's jukebox. Also allows these users to view and update location information (such as correcting errors in the location's name and address.
Bookkeeper: Allows the user to see all information pertaining to jukebox revenues, money sitting in cash boxes, as well as basic location and jukebox information.
Account Manager: Allows the user to access all of Tempo, and to manage the entire operator account. The only role that allows management of other users and their roles.
Music Manager: Allows the user to manage the music selection offered by jukeboxes. Assign this role to users who must regularly adjust music filters and the selection of favorites on jukeboxes.
Technician: Gives full access to jukebox settings, as well as other tools a road tech might need to get a jukebox back in working order.
Collector: Allows a collector, out in the field, to view all the pertinent information that will help with collecting the coinage from jukeboxes. Also allows access to non-music settings, so that the collector can address basic requests by venue staff during a visit without requiring the intervention of a road tech.
Once you entered the credentials, picked a role, and picked which locations this user should have access to, the user will receive an automated email from TouchTunes with their activation link. Remember that the only way to get the security phrase is from you!
After they have activated their account by clicking the link, entering the security phrase and choosing a password, they will be automatically redirected to the login screen to get started!
You will be able to see when your users have activated their account with a check mark in the activation column on the main Users page.
