Since saving passwords is a security risk, many browsers set the password saving feature to OFF by default.

On an iPhone for example, you will need to enable this setting by following these steps:

1. Tap on the Settings icon 

2. Tap on the Safari icon

3. Tap on the AutoFill option.

4. Slide the Names and Passwords slider to On
